When to Visit Bardia: A Seasonal Guide
December 1, 2024 · 4 min read

October to May is Bardia's open season — but within that window, each month tells a different story. Here's how to choose based on what matters most to your journey.
October and November bring lush post-monsoon greenery and cooler air, though thicker vegetation can make wildlife spotting slightly harder. December through February is peak comfort — crisp mornings, clear skies, and excellent visibility, popular with birders and families alike.
March through May is dry-season prime time for wildlife: vegetation thins out, water sources concentrate animals near rivers and waterholes, and tiger sightings tend to rise. It's hotter, but for many wildlife-focused travelers, it's the best trade-off in the calendar.
Whichever window you choose, Bardia's core appeal — space, quiet, and a genuinely wild park — holds throughout the season.
